The nature of work performed by the corporation and immediate proximately to government and other related facilities makes Aerospace susceptible to some form of civil disorder. Regardless of how minor the incident may appear, there is always the potential that the incident may progress from minor to major. Many serious situations can be minimized or avoided by prompt implementation of an effective plan.
Warning can be expected in most instances of this type of emergency; therefore, employees can be instructed as to company policy and to the procedures to be followed to protect them from harm. Bulletins, AeroElerts, and other types of announcements will be used to communicate with employees. Employees may be instructed to remain at their work areas, avoid direct confrontation with demonstrators and media, and follow instructions provided by Security / management / designee.
The Aerospace facility will undergo a full damage assessment if necessary. Damage to the facility or other property such as employee vehicles, resulting from the civil disorder, will be documented.
