Before an Incident

Aerospace sends AeroElert notifications in the event of severe thunderstorms being forecasted. NOAA should also be monitored for proper planning purposes.

During an Incident

Lightning

If you hear thunder within 30 seconds of seeing lightning, go indoors. Stay inside for at least 30 minutes after hearing the last clap of thunder.

Hail

Hailstorms often cause damage to windows, vehicles, and rooftops. Being unprotected in a hailstorm can result in injuries. If there is hail, employees and visitors will be advised to find shelter if they are outdoors and stay put until the weather has passed.

After the Incident

Report any damage to SCC.
